JSA - Customer Compliance Officer Visit

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums and just looking for some information to help ease my mind.
I am in receipt of JSA (which I have claimed for 3 months) and have received a letter from the jobcentre which says 'Notification of a visit'.
In the letter it says 'We need to see you in order to discuss the benefit we are currently paying you because a query has arisen on your claim. We need to ensure your payments are correct and it is important that you are available so we can discuss the matter further.'
The visit is arranged for two weeks time but I am really worried as to what is it about since the letter does not go into detail. I imagine it is a standard letter that is sent to people but what are these visits about?
I am living with parents who both work and own their house so I only claim JSA.
Can anyone shed a little light as to what it could be and what to expect?
Thanks in advance.

Compiance Officers carry out visits or interviews where some fraud is suspected.
There are usually two scenarios; firstly a discrepancy has been found in the claim you have made; secondly someone has reported a suspected fraud to the DWP.
Since you made your claim three months ago the latter is more of a possiblity. Someone may have reported that you are working without declaring hours and earnings, or that your circumstances are other than you have declared (main address, savings, other income etc.)
If the Compliance Officers are happy after speaking to you, this will go no further. If they are not happy, the can refer the matter to a Fraud Investigator.
If your circumstances are straightforward, there should be nothing to worry about.

The people that come out will be going through your claim to make sure the information you have supplied is accurate. It could be something so simple as a routine check of your identity or it could be a little more involved. I am afraid that this might mean that somebody has made a allegation that you are working or that you have some savings that you have not declared. Saying that that is very much a worse case scenario so don't get to focused on it. If you are not working or have no savings then you would be OKThe World come on.....0

I had one of these when I was about 19, I had never worked and my parents had supported me as I was still living at home but I decided to claim JSA as I wanted access to a course to get a job (feeding me is one thing, but I wouldnt ask my parents to fund a course). A gentleman arrived and duly started giving me the third degree about how I had been supporting myself, he even wanted to see my medical card to prove I actually lived at that address. It was stressful but he seemed satisfied after about half an hour, he did want to speak to my parents though.
As TMVen said, dont stress it if you have nothing to hide.:A:A:A:A:A:A0
