After looking on here, I have learned a few things, i.e.
You can freeze mashed potato! When you want to eat it, do you have to defrost it first or just heat up or what?
Does the same applies for when you have frozen cottage pie?
You can freeze roast tatties? Does this mean wedges as well? Again, do you have to defrost first?
A good tip I saw was to freeze chopped onions to save on using food processor all the time. Do they need defrosting before cooking or just bung in frozen to spag bol when you are making it?

Hi colette,
I'm not entirely sure about the potatoes but I would just bung the onions straight in from frozen.
However, if and when freezing, it may be a good idea to free flow freeze them so you can just lift out a handful easily.

p.s. I'll be watching this thread for when I get my own place as OH doesn't like potatoes!0 -
Thanks for that. I get the gist of free flow, but can someone explain how to do it properly?0
