Financial Associations question

I'm trying to sort my credit file out and have sent away my letters but am stuck as what to do about the financial association with my ex partner. They are for things like a joint mortgage and joint loan. Obviously I am no longer responsible for these as they went into the BR so can I ask to be disassociated from him?
Oh and before anyone starts pointing fingers at me about dumping the debt on him, let me point out he was going to go BR before me but hasn't made it yet as he keeps spending any money he's put aside!

No harm in asking I suppose! You might want to contact the lenders first though to make sure they are now in his sole name only otherwise you might get automatically linked again on the next update.0

Hi Light
This sounds like my husband I will be discharged in November and he hasn't even saved 1p towards his BR.

I now have a Financial connections form from Experian to complete which I believe they then use to 'sever the connections'. One of the questions is 'Do you and the person referred to share any joint credit agreements, for example credit card or mortgage?'. Think I may well have to wait until after I have got my credit file updated before I can proceed as it seems to be the ones for joint debts which are, mostly, wrong at the moment.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500
