Hi
As a new member and obviously very naive, I wonder if anyone can give me some info. I have 2 payments left to settle with a debt collection agency, Moorcroft. Will I get any communication from them telling me my debt is clear?
It was with interest I read an earlier post regarding the pre court division letters and phone calls as I have been receiving these. I had a debt of £6000 which i have £350 left to pay. they have been very intimidating and rude in trying to make me pay more evey month.Today I had the gleeful experience of them putting the phone down on me as I did not rise to their threats and was very "bored" sounding.:j

I have delt with moorcroft before, generally when the debt is paid up they crawl back under the stone from whence they came. Just make sure you get proof of payment, ie bank statements etc and keep a copy to hand. I have every letter a dca sends me with a copy of any payments I have made just in case.
At a later date you could check your credit file I guess.TOTAL AT START £13606.90 27/03/2018
TOTAL CURRENT £13445.90 29/03/20180 -
You could write to them and formally request a written confirmation of settlement. You never know they may actually reply.
Great Job settling the debt though well done :beer:0
