Hi
I am a little bit confused as it seems that Lowell Group have taken a lot of money out of my account and i have not received any letters from them recently. I made a payment to them and said that I would arrange a direct debit but they have not sent the paperwork but I never received it. Is this ok for them to do this or should i have signed something?
Thank you in advance

Did you provide them with your bank account or debit card details? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I think I did, does that make a difference?
Thank you for replying.;)0 -
yep
The chances are your bank will tell you that you authorised the payments and that Lowell have just set up a DD at their end with your authorisation.
Speak to the bank and see if they can reclaim the money from Lowell. Write and complain to Lowell
Then cancel the card and close the bank aco!!!!.
Move somewhere else.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Lowell probably don't know but they have eight weeks to respond to your complaint and if you are not happy with the response or they do not reply within that time you can take them to the Financial Ombudsman Service0

Thank you so much, I will contact the bank tomorrow and tell them that I did not authorise this transaction. And i will send Lowell group an email and see if I get any response.

I would strongly advise you to set up a standing order rather than a DD. They will of course say it isn't possible , but will if you insist
