returning painfull childrens shoe's

i bought a new pair of shoe's for my 4yr old boy, the shop owner measured his feet and fitted a pair of nice shoe's. We left the shop with him wearing the new shoe's but after about 10 minutes of walking he complained his big toe was hurting, i adjusted his sock even though it looked fine but he still complained his big toe hurt. MY question, do i have the right to take them back for another pair or a refund?

It would be wise to first establish that the toe was really hurting, as opposed to the child just saying it was with no evidence.
    Gone ... or have I?

Maybe you could check out the measurements were correct at Clarke's or similar?

To dmg24 Thank you, we went for a walk this eve and his toe was red on the outside edge and the shoe has started rubing just under his ankle bone. I don't like to make a fuss but childrens feet are delicate xx

To MyRubyRed Thank you, will go to another shop tomorrow to get measurements checked xx

i would take them back and give them a chance to put right their mistake, ive taken shoes back to clarkes before now cos they weren't fitted properly and had no problems getting an exchange or refund

If they're making your child's feet hurt and sore then take them back, don't go messing about getting a second opinion and so on in another shop.

You bought the shoes, they're hurting his feet, take them back.

    It's a no brainer.

Unless they are Clarks shoes, there's no point getting his feet measured in a Clarks shop. The siezes aren't all exactly the same.

Just go back to the shop, tell them the shoes are rubbing and ask them to check them again.
