    40c working environment !!!! Mad.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that the maximum air temperature should be 25 degrees Celsius. Safety Reps’ can use these figures and evidence to negotiate agreements that improve upon the minimum requirements of the law.

It does, of course, depend upon what one does for a living. It's pretty common for steel workers - although I imagine there aren't many of those left :( But in some types of work such temperatures are not only common - they cannot be avoided.

Walking out would leave you in a very vulnerable position. You would be much better off seeing your doctor, and getting something from hom to say what you should and shouldn't be doing, then taking this to your manager to discuss the next time you are in work. If that doesn't work, you can go down the formal grievance route, and if your doctor is concerned enough for you, he will sign you off until it's resolved.

basically you can claim discrimination on disability or claim victimisation you could resign and claim constructive dismissal or if you get sacked claim unfair dismissal although that system is a bit flawed

as opose to walking out, trying to claim constructive dismissal and failing because she hadn't followed the internal process to try and resolve the issue. constructive dismissal is almost impossible to win, and i would definitely not expect anyone to win who hadn't made an attempt to solve the problem internally first.
