Work Visa for Canada

My husband is leaving HM Forces in March 2010 and it is our intention to settle in Canada

We have been advised the best route to do this is obtain a work visa for him and visitor permits for the rest of the family.

Does anyone know of a reputable company who specialises in obtaining visas etc - there appear to loads of them out there.

You don't need to deal with a company - you can apply direct to CIC and not need to pay for an expensive visa company

Spend a good bit of time with your husband and look into the requirements for obtaining a work permit without needing a prior job offer as this will allow him to move there and live off savings whilst looking for work.

I would also look at the points calculators on their and work out if you will both have enough points to obtain such a visa. It will take into account your age, education, language skills, savings and work experience.
