Good morning fellow DFWs!
Another day and hopefully many dollars! :rotfl:
Going for another non spender unless my soup and pitta bread don't take my fancy at lunch time! In which case I will spice things up with a little houmous from ASDA, say £1.30? I will update later
Hope there are many non and low spenders amongst us today! Have fun everyone, the weekend is near

already lent the boyfriend a tenner so won't be a no-spend ... also I have to decide today whether I'm going to buy a bike through the "ride to work" scheme thing (shaves 40% off purchase price of bike plus divides payments up across salary for a year). sounds like a good deal but it will be a big purchase if I do go for it!!! ...0

It's a biggie today I'm afraid.
So far, I've made a £250 deposit on some made to measure loose covers for my 2 old & tatty sofas. The balance of £500 is to be paid in 8 -10 weeks when the man will return to fit them. It's a lot of money, but they are getting very threadbare now - although sturdy and still very comfy, so I hope it's going to be worth it.
When he has measured up and gone, I'll be off to Morrisons & Lidl, where I must try very hard to stick to my budget of £40 this week.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
Wow, that sounds like a great scheme! No use round here though, far too steep for cycling!cathybird wrote:already lent the boyfriend a tenner so won't be a no-spend ... also I have to decide today whether I'm going to buy a bike through the "ride to work" scheme thing (shaves 40% off purchase price of bike plus divides payments up across salary for a year). sounds like a good deal but it will be a big purchase if I do go for it!!! ...Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

it is a great scheme, but I can't ride a bike at all well (I confess to my shame), never learned when I was a kid, so it's a bit of a risk - well worth it if I love it & use it lots and a huge waste of money if I don't. I need the exercise tho!!! and I really feel I should rely less on the car. So, ummm, I dunno...0 -
Well lunchtime will be a No Spender today. Just had an email to say that a book has arrived at the library, so I'll pick that up at lunchtime and hopefully there will be no need for me to spend!
However, I've got a mystery shop in a pub tonight and so I'll have to pay for the meal first. But then I'll get that money back plus £5 in a couple of weeks, so a theoretical no spend today I suppose!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts
