Hi, The person you are calling doesn't need any software whatsoever. You can just call their landline as usual. You will be on the PC via a headset calling their normal housephone. You can call other numbers as you wish but these wont be free so I just stick to normal landlines.

When you make your calls you will need to call the international code eg. for UK 01303 xxxxxx you would call +441303 xxxxxx

If you can create an account on someone elses windows pc you can use it in x-lite which you can get for linux and mac, all you need is the right settings in the software.

i'd go for VOIPdiscount or one of the others that is around instead thou as you only have to top it up every 120 days not every 90, if you're going to use the free calls regularly.

Just a quick update to let you all know I've tryed this FreeCall and it works! We've called both the United States and The Netherlands and no charges whatsoever! Both receiving parties said the calls came through crystal clear! It looks as though you're permitted 300 minutes (5 hours) of free time per week! Just thought I'd share the good news and say thanks!
