Hi, I am running XP and for some reason the power options don't work, i.e. I set the option to put the computer to sleep after, say, 10 minutes and nothing happens.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

IIRC, it will only suspend if the PC is considered to be "idle", and that can depend on what processes are running in the background. If you have non-system processes running then it won't go to sleep.
I suspect that it will be quite difficult to figure out though.
One approach would be to run msconfig and see what programs are set to run at startup, exclude any that are not obviously system processes and see if that makes any difference.0
