Help to work out annual salary

Hi

I have a friend who works self employed part time and charges a day rate of £100

He has been approached by a company who seems to think he is salaried and full time and has offered him a job as such on 32k
He hasn't been full time employed for years and has been self employed for over a decade so is a bit out of touch
He is trying to work out what he would have been earning per annum gross if he had been full time salaried for the original company to see how much better off he would be

He asked me but I have no clue  but told him I knew somewhere that would ?

Thanks in advance

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

It looks like he would be making £26,000.00 P/A before tax.

So the 32k is definately better for him :-)

Is this post serious? He charges £100 per day and cannot work out what this is over a year? If he works 5 days a week it's £500 x 52 weeks = £26k pa. Hardly needs a degree in higher maths.:rotfl:

If you are serious then...you say he works part-time. So then he won't earn £26k because that then becomes full-time.

What he needs to do is sit down and work out how many days he works per year. If he works 52 weeks, every day then the £32k is better. If he only works half that then the £32k is still better but will need to change his working life to double

I haven't followed the links but another way of comparing -
Assuming he gets just lowest legal amount of paid holiday for the proposed job, he would be working 52 - 5.6 weeks = 46.4 weeks
    46.4 x 5 days a week = 232 days
    £32000 / 232 = £137.93 per day
