Honeymoon Upgrades

Options
Hi lovely people!!

Just wondering if anyone from here has had any honeymoon upgrades?

I'm tempted to upgrade our flight to Thailand and was just wondering if this has happened to anyone on their honeymoon for free?

Thanks!

Yes there was, and the upshot was a pretty conclusive no. Mainly because airlines look after their regular/frequent customers first rather than those who want a freebie.

I'd say fewer than 1/5000 honeymooners get upgraded for free.

I disagree, I know loads that are upgraded.

If you are flying with BA sign up for the air miles club before you go - its free and that will put you in better stead to be upgraded.

Also dress smart, that will help :D

We paid for an upgrade on the way there - we're going to St. Lucia and figured there'll be a few couples on their honeymoon, so we didn't stand a great chance on that route. Flying economy on the way back, so will try our luck then!
