D S Lite

Trying to decide where to buy a new DS lite -daughter wants Nintendogs as well. Today saw a deal (wrong game) at HMV for £109 - Tescos is £94.97 (I know John Lewis will price match the DS Lite). Any other offers posted would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Does it have to be a DS LITE and not the regular DS? In girley Pink perhaps? Would save you some £££
  • Hi
If thinking of buying from John Lewis there is a code on the voucher board for £20 off when you spend £50 - I think it is valid until end of September. If you spend over £100 you also get free delivery. Oh and don't forget Quidco!

Other than being slightly smaller, is there any difference, which is the better one to get, the lite or the ordinary? I'd like one for Christmas, pink if poss.

The Lite has significantly improved screens and a far more compact design.

Pink version gets a UK launch in October.

Also DS lites have better positioning of thier microphones, and a longer battery life - up to 15 hours, and shorter charger time it appears. The stylus is longer as well, and thicker.

No deals with Nintendogs included at GAME, only £99.99 with Super Monkeyball, or £109.99 with a choice of1 game from a choice of 8 games)

Definately go for the lite. As the poster has said above, the screens are a lot brighter, the battery lasts longer and the product feels 'finished!'

If you're not sure, ask to see them side-by-side!
    Waddle you do eh?

    Is the correct answer!

Wandered into the store, and asked for them side to side, the differences between the 2 are vast... like someone says the old one just feels 'clunky' but the new one seems 'polished' and generally much better laid out.... i know there's a difference in price, but when you see them on show you can see why.... pink ds-lite is out in October (as mentioned by someone earlier) or, if it doesnt need to be a handheld, wait for the new nintendo console, rumnored to be about 170pounds and can download all previous nintendo games (So the rumour goes)

Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!
