Just received a card

Hi,
I have just received a card from MBNA consumer credit which I assume is regarding my outstanding balance.
It States:
Dear XXXX,
I have important information I need to discuss with you. This card is notification that I will be calling you week commencing Monday 14 June 2010.
If you would rather contact me, please call me on the following mobile number xxxxx
Yours sincerly
Alex
Now this was written in a postcard style format, I am not sure if they mean to visit or a phone call, basically I am behind on payments however have offered every month a token payment whilst I sort out my finances with the CCCS etc and never had a response from them, and they have never cashed the cheques I have posted.
Can anyone give any advice as to what I should do next? I do not believe without a court warrant they have any legal allowances for entry to the property - but I dont know this for sure or what this is....

Hi
They mean to confuse you. They will almost certainly mean a phone call btu want you to worry that it could be a doorstop call.
On the very slim chance they do turn up at your house then you are right they have no rights at all, tell them to leave. If they don't tell them you call the cops.
Assuming you don't want to talk to them I would send them a 'please only communicate in writing letter'. You could if you wanted tag on relevant parts from the 'you can't come to my house letter'.

99% of the time it will be a phone call. Especially if it is still with MBNA.
Creditors and debt collectors have no rights whatsoever to enter your home. If one turns up on your door, tell them to "get lost" and write to you. If they won't leave, then call the police and have them removed.
But as said, it will almost certainly be a phone call.
They just word it in that way as they know the ambiguity panics people.
