chucky's challenge

Folks,

chucky has kindly volunteered himself for one of the most gruelling tasks. Accordingly, it is appropriate we should give him our support. The reason he is committing himself to such a task is an extremely good cause.

could i invite you to a charity event that i'm organising.

it's a small contribution of your choice to a childrens charity if you are able to avoid reacting to the provocative nature of the previous posts that were directed at you. the time would 30 days.

Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights in the desert so there is no reason why we cannot abstain from these activities on MSE.
maybe there will be a miracle at the end of it all.

i am on day 6.

let me know what you think.
thanks,
C

His target is to get to friday 9 july without rising to the bait.

C'mon fella, it is well worth the effort!:A

Lets give him our support, & also a little baiting every now & again.:D
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I'm not going to bait. I'm hoping sincerely Chucky finds it something he wants to keep up for his own sake and the sake of his cyberfriends and acquaintances :) And I'm in for a tenner, as agreed elsewhere. It would be great if others took from his example over this. :)

it's nothing i need to keep up, this is only an internet forum - we only come here for a distraction just like others watch TV. it doesn't really matter what people actually say on here.

being baited is part of the 'game', so is the baiting :)

the good cause is a childrens charity - a very worthy cause!

Your choice, of course. The ''baiting'' really doesn't do it for me, not all of us consider it a vital part of the ''game''.

    Cause is worthy indeed.

I am in for a tenner as well, any excuse to give to that worthwhile charity.

I won't be adding to your charity as I already budget enough charity. But well done

Regardless of your cause, keep it up past the charity length of time / date.

I realised that it is not beneficial to lower myself with unnecessary words and indeed it's better to be able to hold your head higher and debate with a greater moral stance.

We all slip up from time to time, but if we are prepared to out in effort and try to be a better person in our discussions then hopefully it helps in obtaining a better debate / discussion.

All the best and good luck in your challange

Surely the most impressive use of an internet name - the Messiah logs in using the name of a doll in a horror movie that supposedly inspired a murder...
