I am lost

I do not understand, what was the thread about?

I thought the lurking thread was a great idea, pop in say something random and then scoot off! If someone has not entered the realm of the arms those kind of threads do not feel daunting, you can dip your toe.

I went to make a first post in The Arms Monday night, read 6 pages of attacks and left. Tried again last night and thought, no thanks, all killing each other again!

So we have to stay on the topic of each thread, of which there must be one, or we are a troll/thread gets delted?
If so I am in trouble,I have issues with tangents/randomness

Seems like they have found a way to reduce the membership of this site, if this carries on and people can't find anywhere to post there will only be the trolls and troublemakers left

I don't get involved in the chit-chat threads, but I don't think it's right to remove them. What I don't understand is that blatant trolling threads remain and harmless banter goes.....which makes me think that people are just reporting things for the hell of it, safe in the knowledge that threads will be locked as a result without any real investigation.

It is a bit daunting as the members who post there seem to know each other rather well.

Maybe the idea is that more people will then chat there as they can not elsewhere and then anyone feels they can dip their toe in?

I'm not sure that would work though, it moves fast in there at times, so you would have 96 seperate conversations running if it gets a lot busier surely?

Must be a method to what we are percieving as madness?
