Selling Tesco Clubcard Vouchers

Options
I have large value (£369) of Clubcard Vouchers, worth £1476 in deals.

Is it really as easy as just putting them on ebay? or are there caveats to watch out for? (I saw the thread about NOT including the online codes in the pics or someone will use them...!!!).

Is there and accepted cash-in value? The ebay codes seem to go for more than 2x the face value.

If there is a better way to use them (buy a Watch at Goldsmiths and sell it? Buy a fridge at MFI and sell it?) let me know!!!

Cheers

  • swiss_toni I would say selling them on ebay is ok - I have bought people's points vouchers this way and had no probs.

    Good luck with the selling

Do you convert them yourself and if so do the deals tokens (eg MFI) arrive in your name?? Or do you let the seller change them into deals first and avoid the ones that are not transferable?
    Hope that makes sense!
  • Hiya 80934 I have no experience of buying the tesco money vouchers which can be used against shopping or converted into deals BUT I have on occasion when I need to boost the points bought unwanted tesco clubcard point vouchers.

Having said that, I have used my mum's and sister's tesco tokens and then converted them on-line in one batch with mine and they all come to the same address with my name on. This was an MFI order.

  • I sold some on eBay and the buyer wanted them as MFI vouchers. When he tried to convert them, Tesco refunded them to my account and sent him a letter. I exchanged them myself then posted them onto him with no problems whatsoever.

My advice, convert them yourself then send them on.

    Hello all,
Well I have bought the points ones and the Clubcard vouchers on eBay before.

IME the Clubcard vouchers may sell for about twice the face value (i.e. half the Deals value). The seller should state that they are happy to convert them first, but warn that certain Deals have a surname on and are not supposed to be transferable (e.g. Goldsmiths, Holidays, MFI).

Give the Tesco Clubcard Deals page as a link to appear helpful! Explain it may take a week or so for you to convert them before you can post the Deals.

In your title, make sure you have the words 'Tesco' (not Tescos), 'Deals', 'vouchers' and 'Clubcard' (not Club card with a gap between the words, unless you have space for both versions!). The listing title will grab attention if it includes the voucher value and the Deals value if you can fit it all in.

Finally, I would wait a couple of weeks! I found in May that I could buy Clubcard vouchers for LESS than the usual going rate because everyone had them, so there were more on eBay than there were buyers who wanted them that badly! By June the price had gone back to normal (so wait till mid-September).

    HTH :o

P.S. AFAIK the buyer cannot convert them to Deals...only the Clubcard holder.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yer I would say wait a month or so untill everyone is sold up and this would make them a little more value.
    Kind Regards
