Wed 16th June (sorry!) - What small DFW things have you done today?
Triangle

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
GOOD MORNING ALL :hello::hello::hello:
Another early start for me! Got my final essay mark for my first year of the MA back yesterday - 70! :j So that's 75, 70, 70 for my assessed work this year (50 is pass mark, 70 is distinction level) To say I'm over the moon doesn't come close! :j
My list for today:

Well done Triangle - clever clogs!!:beer:
Nothing much on here for me - lovely day so my plans involve sitting in the garden with a few books...nothing too energetic;) I have found I'm ok up until about 2, then my energy levels disappear and I'm not much use for a few hours...it's very frustrating:o So will just give in to it and make the most of feeling fine in the mornings!
Ok, here's my little list for today:- check banking
- daily scratchcard
- packed lunch for dd2
- dd2 having dinner at friends tonight so just me and dd1 to feed - pizza and oven chips I think:o
- do any surveys that appear in my inbox
- NSD
Anyway - welcome to any new posters and big waves to all you regulars:j
Have a fab day:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Well done triangle
Milly you do need to take it a bit slower you know!
Today for me - I think I'm not going to work - I've got a cold - not ladyflu but I can hardly move. One the positive side its given me an extra day to write up my experiment which is due at the end of the week and its going so slowly (I should have been on a presentation course today - argh but I've gained that time). I can write up in bed - very fitting I think. First though - despite the grottiness - I've to drive DD to school as we're now in the new house and only got a few final bits to do with the old house. But her bus isn't organised until after the holidays
Today
Check banks and see if loan is down under £300 :j£287
Checked onepoll no surveys at the mo (done two now 20p) :j
Check CC's and make an extra payment ot both need to start (Paid an extra
£500
between the two - I use the ccs for petrol/food etc to get my credit rating better, so I must keep putting money into them regularily and PAD'ing them as that does bring them down! (they are both under £500 now)
Drive economically to school and back
HC on the line for me and for DS who's leaving for switzerland today
Look out for ebay purchases for DS - otherwise we'll need to buy him some extra sandals as the ones I ordered didn't come  not here yet.
Work a bit hard but in bed - got up easier when up
HM teas/lunches
Drop DS off at ferry in afternoon and wave him off
Pick up DD from school
Imbide lots of vit c and lemsips
Text OH and let him call me
Email work and tell them I'm sick
Check for more survey's later
Thats me today -
hope everyone has a great day. Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Oh, Triangle that is ace! _party_ woo hoo! We know you're too excited to know whether it's May or June, so we don't mind :rotfl:
I can't believe the time! I might need to finish off my list in work and do a little cutting and pasting at lunch time, but so far (and from last night) I've done a few little things:- HC on 30 (last night)
- Quick shower
- Didn't use straightners
- Sliced about 30 rolls and put them in the freezer (left over from the wedding at the weekend and we got them for free
) - Made OH sandwiches for work - he's now just going to buy soup at lunchtime... small steps...
- Invited a friend round on Saturday night - I'll cook and we won't be tempted to go out spending!
- Eating cheapo porridge
- Put 3p in the jar
- Update diary thread - probs write it in work when it all gets too much and do the cut and paste thing
Happy Wednesday everyone!
xxx
Fay - hope you feel better soon. Take it easy today.
Milly - Don't overdo it!
Josie - I know it's not quite the same, but you know we're here every day if you ever need a dodgy looking hug :grouphug:0 -

Today I have already:
Checked banking
Done scratchies/bingoport

I'll try and do something else later or I won't be worthy to be here

Have a good day everyone!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning all. It's a lovely day here so I've hung DD's washing on the line and will be taking DGD for a long walk this morning.
It's my "10th day" - I negotiated a nine day fortnight at work so I can look after DGD on alternate Wednesdays. I have to leave the house two hours earlier than on a work day so did no DFW stuff before leaving.
I will try to:- phone Inland Revenue to jiggle my tax codes around
- send letter to council re HB and CTB
- collect DGS from school and take him home so DGD can play with her cousins - free entertainment
- have a LSD
- wait on tenterhooks for BBC Radio Wiltshire get in touch
