Scottish Trust Deed advice

Im looking for a little bit of free advice. Im seriously struggling with my debts and im considering going through with this trust deed option. Ive just recently split from my girlfriend so im now living on my own and the house is all in my name so money is very tight. My unsecured loans come to in total £20000 and im paying roughly £500 a month for them but i can only realisticly afford £220. My problem is i do not want to be rejected and end up filing for bankruptcy as i would like to keep my house. The major part of my unsecured debt is a loan i have that is about £16000, so does it means that if that creditor does not protect the trust deed will i have to file for bankruptcy?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Gowfer,
I myself have a trust deed and although i do not own a house i did have a similar issue with my trust deed. The majority of my unsecured debt was with one compnay and they did refuse to accept my trust deed at first, which was heart breaking as other companys had agreed, but because this one other company was the majority of my debt it did not matter. Fortunatly my Trust Deed organisers agreed to reduce their fees and increase the amount paid to my creditors so the other company finally agreed. So if you do get a good Trust Deed company then they should do their upmost to help secure your trust deed. I'm really sorry i can not offer anymore advice on this, but i really hope it goes well for you. x
