Well, might as well give up waiting
My fridge was bought in 1986, it defrosts when it feels like it!! so every now and again I find the food covered in water and running out the bottom of the fridge, then about 3 times a day it makes a HUGE bang noise!!!!
So I could REALLY have done with one:(:(:smileyheaMagenta0 -
Not everyone can go out and buy one! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Perhaps someone who is getting an AAAAAAAAA+ insulated intelligent fridge would offer you their old one or is trading in the old one all part of the trial?
You old fridge is of an age where the melted frost was gathered into a little trough and drained out onto a tray over the motor, where the heat of operation evaporated it away - you're not just suffering from a blocked tube through to the outside?
[My fridge dates back to 1972 and I have to switch it off at the mains to get it to defrost into a tray under the freezer compartment - unfortunately I don't have the ceiling height over the fridge to apply for a big free trial one!]0 -
Does anyone know if any MSEr's were successful and got a fridge??:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Received an email saying I was unsuccessful. Could have used a new fridge freezer as ours packed it in. A dear couple on our local Freegle site responded to my request for a fridge freezer and I now have a lovely huge fridge freezer that is very energy efficient compared to my old one. It's a good day to be grateful.
Hoping to hear if any MSErs get one though.Take the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

A far better way to get a replacement freezer than sitting there with an old one burning up electricity defrosting your vol au vents in the hope that your better one of the few people picked from millions to get a free one from npower.0
