My wife worked as a nurse for 20 years , 2 years ago she had to stop due to ill health, due to her ill health she recieves money from the DSS , I have just obtained a position working offshore and have to set up my own Ltd company, question is can I have my wife as a partner in the company although she will not earn any direct wages she will be able to collect dividends anually, does this affect her DSS money she recieves.????

Which benefit is she claiming? Some are means tested and some are not.0

Unsure what type , all I know she attended a tribunal hearing and she is now on long term sick money , no more requirement for doctors line every month, as far as I am aware she is taxed on it at present if she reaches the minimum tax threshold.0

You really need to speak to your wife and get full details before anyone on here can help.
Long term sick money, is it from the NHS or is it from the DWP.
Is she getting any other money from anywhere.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
