Renovation remortgage

Just a silly question but i have had a remortgage accepted for renovation purposes.....the money will have to go into some account, is it the normal thing to ask it to go straight into my current account? should i set up another account just for the remortgage?
Will they mind what i spend the money on? i will need to pay off many debts with this here and abroad....

Yes, you are being paranoid, they don't check where the money goes or what you spend it on !0
