in Cutting tax
Hi guys,
Hope you may be able to help with a question I have about overpaying tax in the 2009-10 tax year...
My P60 states that my total pay in this employment, and total for the year was equal to £3915.00 and the tax deducted in this employment and total for the year was £459.00...
Now from the start of the tax year in April '09 I was still a student, until about July/August time when I started received Job Seekers Allowance, which stopped in January when I got a job (), which has taken me to now.
I sent my P60 and a covering letter in to the tax office and then gave them a ring, they said that they would need my P45 from the job centre before they can pay me the £459 back... the problem is i've searched everywhere and think I must have lost that P45.
Is there any way I can get hold of another copy of it, or prove some other way the amount of JSA I received?
Thanks in advance

Go to the Job centre and ask them for a printout of the taxable benefit your received in that tax year. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
