Jobseekers and interviews overseas

I'm going to france for a week because I have two job interviews whilst I am away.
does anyone know what information I need to provide to my jobcentre? Is it just a letter to say I have an interview with the buisnesses adresses on it and phonenumbers so the jobcentre can contact them?
I asked my jobcentre but I dont really remember what they said, it was something along the lines of an email or something to say I have an interview but there must be more to it than that....
I've also been on the directgod website and to hell if I can find anything on there....most useless website I've ever been on.
Any help would be really apreciated
Thanks

You'll need to speak to the Jobcentre. When signing on, I was allowed to do some job-finding-related stuff abroad without any problems and I don't think they ever asked for any evidence or contact addresses for anyone: I just told them what I was doing and why. They may or may not ask you for evidence of the interviews - you'll need to speak to them to find out.0

You're allowed to go abroad for a job interview (good luck with those) but you need to show some sort of proof. An e-mail is enough from what I know. Once you come back you need to sign on (if you miss your signing) within 5 working days. You/the JCP will complete some form and stick it on your claim file to make it obvious you're abroad.0

Could I have 3 weeks on the med in July/August on JSA? I'm sure I could get a couple of interviews in place if it means I get paid JSA.
And if so, could I have 3 months in the snow laden Alps in the Winter and keep my JSA?
Just wondering ..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Lollpop I'm sure the job centre will be fine as long as you provide details of interview etc.Could I have 3 weeks on the med in July/August on JSA? I'm sure I could get a couple of interviews in place if it means I get paid JSA.

Though this is not a holiday it is specifically travelling abroad to apply for a job so I think that is fair enough.
But you are right that system could be open to abuse - Just like stated in a previous thread with the whole 'holiday and claiming JSA situation' Come on Cameron sort it out!!!!"£$%^&*()0
