Loan at home address?
Options
Hi there, just seeking a bit of advice. I'm coming to the end of a loan agreement (£1000 over 12 months with RBS, have 2 more payments to pay), and am seeking to take on another loan/car finance agreement in the next couple of months (£200-£2500 over 18 months) although at the same time I'm looking to change address. I'll be moving out of my home address where I have lived for about 23 years. Does anyone know if I would be accepted for this having just changed address or the legality of taking one out at my home address then moving shortly after?
Thanks
Thanks

If you apply for the loan before you move out then you'd have to apply at your current address, whether or not you move after is irrelevant. Legally you couldn't do anything else.
Once you have moved you are unlikely to get a loan until you appear on the new electoral register, which can take around 6weeks from when you apply to the council at your new property. Unless you apply in the 2months of the year when they don't update it, in which case it can take even longer - I think its Sept & Oct they stop updating.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks. It will probably be August/September time by the time I'm ready to move anyway so the option will probably be to take it out at my current address.0
