Sofa Removal

Hi,
Forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I have just purchased a new sofa and wish to get rid of my old one. There is still plenty of life in it so I thought about donating it to charity. My problem is that its rather clumbersome and I don't have the ability to take it to a charity shop. Can anyone suggest ideas?.
Thanks in advance

Try ringing your local branch of Help The Aged. They should come and collect it from you.0

Freecycle ?
Free to collect in the newspaper.0 -
I think you can get the council to take it away ... give them a buzz...! But sticking it in the paper for free if someone picks it up is the best way ... unless its really one and has the springs poking through...0

Here's a link to the list of UK Freecycle groups should anyone wish to check availability in their area

Try https://www.frn.org.uk for a list of local charities that collect. MENCAP took my old sofa-bed away last week. Two lovely guys collected it and shifted the darn thing up stairs and wiggled it outside whilst I just stood back and watched. Glad I could help out a charity at the same time as them helping me by getting rid of it.[size=-2]Remember its nice to be nice and its good to share!

Freecycle is run via America.....if you want a local grou go to freegle...this is where all the original freecycle groups jumped and changed their name before America took over...this means the groups are run locally for local people. You cna find out more about it at www.ilovefreegle.org:beer:0
