Basically we've been given a mortgage in principle and have now found a house and the offer has been accepted on the house so we're off to the bank on sat to start the process really moving but i want to make sure I've got everything i need as i don't live nearby so cant pop back to pick stuff up. Got all my wage slips and p60 but what else do we need?
Bit worried about proof of address as i don't get any bills coming here in my name as i live with parents so all water etc is in their name. What eles could i take as an alternative? Would they accept driving license?
Cheers!

Bank or credit card statments plus photo driving lic are worth taking. If you are already with this bank then they likely wont need any further proof of residence though.
Be aware some big banks such as Nat West were seconds from going bust when the Govt took them over. You will find such Banks to be overly cautious.

And also remember the staff are ONLY there to sell you products such as thier own insurance. Thier critical illness cover is unlikely to have as favourable claims criteria as some of the traditional insurers such as AVIVA.0

We're going for nationwide as they've offered us what we need in terms of money, only be using their conveyancer due to the basic rate being free but not the disbursements and using their valuation and home buyers add on, apart from that ill be shopping round for everything else. marks n sparks for home insurance due to having two rather expensive push bikes to insure.
Don't think i've got a recent enough bank statement as all my statements are electronic, save trees n money n all that! Defo got a driving licence and will hunt out what statement i have got.
Thanks!0 -
Print off your statement, our bank accepted that. Otherwise, pay slip, passport, both parts of driving licence and we have just been asked for proof of deposit!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140
