Feeding kid's friends real food

Another child was eating chips as part of his dinner at mine (I relented that day!), after gagging on the salad that was on his plate, he asked for more chips. I pointed out that he still had chips on his plate and he should finish them first. He then informed me that "I don't eat the ends of chips, only the middle bit" :rotfl:

I've had kids not eating crusts or picking the tiniest of vegetables off of pizzas or refusing to eat anything on the plate until I got rid of the vegetables on the plate or only eating one particular flavour of yogurt or one particular brand of hot cross bun!
I appreciate that we all like different things and there are things I don't like (brussel sprouts - urgh!) and things my son doesn't like, but some children are so incredibly fussy - it amazes me.0 -
None of you, AND I MEAN NONE OF YOU, should feel that you need to apologise or excuse the percieved faddyness of your children who won't eat over processed c**p. Trust me, the parents who serve processed food and only processed food would not even consider apologising or excusing it or excusing feeding it to your children. We are in a minority it appears, people where we know what will happen if we feed children rubbish. Always remember to explain if you can what started you doing this. Or if you've been good and always done this put people onto this website so they can see others who may have started badly and then made up for it. All I ask is that people consider what their children eat. My ex had 3 children and I have to say that the kids would fish for sweets and I would let them have them occasionally, after food and often I'd try and get them into the food making process, which they loved. I feel proud of you all even if some of you don't quite yet!
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -

Haha, me too! Was a bit shocked at wife though, she put some scotch pacakes in the trolley the weekend, I turned round and said "what you buying those for, I'll make you some". She replied that she didn't like to ask me... The shame! I must try and be less of a grouch!SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0
