Glasgow for kids

Im going glasgow for a day and was wondering if there is anything in the city centre for the kids?
Going by train for a few hours only. Thought i'd do some shopping, but ill have kids with me.
Any ideas?

    the glasgow science centre is brilliant for children, what sort of things are they into ?

    the imax is ajoined to the science centre so maybe take them in there for some 3d filmage ?

    free entry into the glasgow transport museum and the museum of art in kelvinhall also ;)

    Well, i was thinking even a little playcentre....ages are 2, 7 and 9.
    Not into museums.

    The Glasgow Science Museum is brilliant for children. It's not like a museum at all. Lots of "hands on" things to do for all ages. Definitely not boring at all.

    Whereabout is this? In the actual city centre?

    No - it's outside the main shopping drag. Probably walkable too from Central Station if you go over the squinty bridge - or £3-4 in a taxi (estimate)

    Free entry into Sctoland Street School, which is great for all ages. Designed by Rennie McIntosh, but lots of stuff for kids to do - can see different classrooms for every era from ictorian to the 60's, and try on uniforms, play old games, etc. There is usually a child friendly exhibition too - eg comics

    take a picnic and go to glasgow green with the kids take a ball and have a kickabout. take them to Hamleys in the St enoch centre or take a tube from glasgow to kevinhall and go to the art galleries and kelvingrove Park.
