Finally after months of trying, Ive been offered a job starting on monday as a council tax benefit processor. :T
I though I hadn't got it as they hadn't sent a letter but they just called me to formally offer me a job , short notice but its an ideal job.

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

I think it was the fact that I was already a trained pensions advisor that got me the job, I tried to impress on them that the actual attributes of working with benefits are transfareable from dealing with one benefit to another - seems to have worked.
Ironically, the training is going to be in the same building where I worked around 5 yrs ago before the t!!ts at the time dimissed me on medical grounds (it was the PPA - part of the DoH)I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals.
