As it's getting time to get the thermals out, I've been debating the best and cheapest place to get them from. I did buy mine from the cataloge last year but only one vest arrived, It took me ages to get a refund for the ones that disappeared so does anyone know which shops are stocking nice thermal vests and which are the cheapest?

moggins, I don't suppose you're anywhere near a size 14/16? I have a few thermal short sleeved vests, barely worn, and I fly to Australia for good next tuesday... so no way I'm taking them. They're so light to post I'd be happy to do it if you'd like them.

Softstuff I am indeed a size 14!! Better switch this to pm as swopping stuff on line is not looked upon kindly.

  • I got a nice vest top style vest from Asda for £4 last year. It also had the hidden support in it.

I know you're probably sorted now but last year we got some thermal stuff from Matalan and it's done the job well.

They had ladies vests, long sleeved tops and kind of like t-shirty things for about £5. Men's stuff was cheaper (makes a change!), long sleeved vests £4 and they had the lovely trousers too, can't remember how much they were though...

    HTH someone!

Moggins, I'll move this to local money saving for you now you've got some answers on here. Maybe someone more locally knows of somewhere nearby.

We got the chap some of the Matalan stuff last year for work and it was fine although a bit of the stitching came undone on a few of the items. They do a really fleecy pair of thermal long johns too which are super warm.
Just run, run and keep on running!
