Hi,

I have a very good credit rating but i have been without a job for 6 months now (i saved up before hand). Although i have done a small bit of freelancing since then.

Is there any chance of me getting a loan for 7k? (Me and my sister want to buy a small cafe).

Please let me know if you need any more information from me!

thanks

david

I think you would need to go to your bank with a business plan for the cafe venture. If you are not working, then presumably the cafe's profits are what will repay the loan, so the bank will want to see a pretty water tight plan for them to risk the money on it.

Chances would probably be around 0.01%.

depends on how much the business will be costing, and how much capital you and your sister can put up front,is there a small business advice service in your area?they would help with a business plan and advise on approaching the banks.

Get in touch with your local council - they can put you in touch with loan and grant providers, who will help you when starting up. You will find it invaluable.
