ING Direct what a farcical company !

I have given up with ING - they rejected my application saying that it wasn't my main address! I am registered for council tax both there and at my girlfriends. I told them 10days ago that I only stay at my girlfriends once or twice a week and she is just over eager registering me at the address. Obviously this fell on deaf ears!!
Off to HSBC I went - through to someone on the first phonecall and application taken immediately over the phone. Much better, although their estimate of my house value was very conservative - anyone else experienced the same?0 -
Our house was "valued" at around 10% less than we paid for it 3 years ago. It was a "desktop valuation" though - it doesn't take into account that we have the largest plot of land on the estate - enough to build another house on plus our own double garage.
Glad we weren't alone with ING - it just seems that they are trying to make it as hard as possible to get a mortgage with them and don't really want to sell mortgages at all.
Maybe a lucky escape if this is what they are like before you owe them money ........0
