Hello everyone....
Iv not written on here much, so i apologise if this is in the wrong place...
I was hoping that someone could give me some advise on wear to get some cheaper false nails, or if there are any good ones on offer anywhere?
Usually i buy mine from Boots for about £5.00 a time, but if i can save a few pennies it would make me
I have checked out ebay, but the postage seems to make the nails more expensive in the shops...Does anyone know any good sellers etc?
I like french manicured ones, usually with a bit of nail art on...But im not too fussed if they havent
Hopefully someone can help me! Thanks in advance x

Hi, I just seen some very fancy nails in Tesco tonight.
Reduced price was £2 and they had plenty of them.0 -
Wickes do real nails for less than a fiver. And their screws are pretty cheap aswell.

Hi Laurielou,
Do you find that the false nails you stick on last well and do they not damage your nails? I've not tried them, but have had false nails glued on once in a salon and hated it. Complety damaged my nails and took about 6 months for them to grow back nicely.
As someone else here said I'm sure Primark does them cheaply and if you have a Savers or Wilkinson near you, they might sell them.0 -
Hii everyone thanks for the replies... Been doing a bit of research and found:
Matalan - £2.50 but they are clear so will show glue and real nail underneath so not a good buy
Peacocks - £3.00
QS - £3.00
H&M - £3.50
Couldnt find the Tescos ones and will have to wait for the weekend to go to Wilko, Savers and Primark... Didnt know about trying Poundland or somewhere like that too??
I like my false nails :-) a set lasts me about 10 days before they get tatty. I usually put a coat of clear polish on before so i glue them so the glue isnt directly on my nails, and then i soak them off with aritfical nail remover £2.50 from Boots.
I too have had Salon ones before but they're so expensive about £25.00 for refills £35.00 per new set....0 -
Hi Laurie Lou -
just a thought - have you tried 'growing you own'? I only ask as I was a serial nail biter for many many years, and after once having had a false set put on, and then realising that it would cost me a fortune to keep on top of them, I decided to persevere and grow my own! I do love the look of false nails, but I love the savings even more ;-)0 -
Hello,
Yes I have tried growing my own and my own nails are actually very strong, I just hate the constant painting as I end up doing it every one to two days because they chip when I am at work and I cant stand them being chipped, at least with falises I can put them on and not worry about them being chipped for a week or so...0 -
Have a look at half price perfumes website, they often have false nails for £1 - need to buy a few packs to make it worth it unless you can find a free delivery code.
Other than that, I'm with Miss RST. Grow your own, get a nail buffer and then use a clear polish. I used to spend £300+ a year on my nails in a salon eeek!! And now I just use a buffer and handcream
