Are you getting married in a church? A lot of churches will do a template for you - as they will have the words for the hymns and stuff..!

well the order of service is just the "running order" of the service - so for instance you would say
    "bride enters to X song"
    "welcome & introductions"
    "Reading by X person"
    "Marriage Ceremony"

I just did a google search, and this was the first thing that came up - to give you a start

For a civil ceremony, you usually call it an Order of the Day instead of an Order of Service. I have a template somewhere; I'll see if I can find it.
“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”

If you are having a civil ceremony, you might want to have an "order of the day", so that your guests know where they should be and when.

I went to a civil cermony recently where they had a large board, rather like a table plan with the events for the day and timings.

They didnt see any point in having an order of service since there is no need to print words for hymns etc.

The board was perfect, it was in hotel lobby before the wedding, then moved to the wedding reception room after the ceremony.
