I can't believe no-one's mentioned Stephen Leather - absolutely riveting reads, every last one of them,
Next best for me is Lee Child, followed very closely by Mark Billingham, then Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Harlan Coben, and most of the ones already mentioned (Gerritsen, Slaughter, PJ Tracy, Hayder etc etc).

Have just read Triptych (Slaughter) during this week and it really was fantastic, followed it up by Billingham's "Buried" and that was equally good.

What would life be like without books????:eek: :eek:

One of my favourite subjects, I'm really into fantasy books myself, but I also read thrillers.
