Tax rebate - finally got an answer!

Today I finally received my tax rebate notification to say that I overpaid tax by £1,250. They will be sending me a cheque in the post shortly. Last week I had 2 letters from the HMRC stating they are looking into my letter and that the answer is on its way to me so to have the reply today I was quite astonished as thought it would be longer. So hopefully the actuall cheque will come bery soon too.
Hope anyone else who is awaiting a reply from the HMRC gets a speedy answer soon.x
