Should i send it recorded? also why would a solicitor send a letter saying they are/might bring legal proceedings against me? would capquest just tell them theres a debt and not give dates etc as surely a solicitor should know they cannot legally take this to court.
That's because their "solicitor" is probably a spotty 19 year old who has watched a couple of episodes of "Judge Judy" and thinks he can collect on a loan agreement that is so old it was probably dragged up with the Dead Sea Scrolls. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I keep getting letters to my address from CapQuest Debt Recovery & HL Legal to a Man who is a complete stranger to me and who has never lived at my address??
I have repeatedly sent the letters back explaining, I have also taken to scanning the docs and emailing them but they ignore all my efforts to stop these letters..
WHAT CAN I DO?.. they are very threatening and are looking for neary £1000! My daughter adn I are disabled and are so afraid we are going to get bailiffs or worse at the door.
CAn anyone advise please at they are really geting me down

Here's an idea.
Take note of the return address on the back of the envelope. When any turn up with that address on just, simply, throw it in the bin without opening it.
If you're not the person they are looking for then they can't do diddly. This other guys debt won't blacklist you or your address. You won't get bailiff's at your door, ever.0 -
