Not really bothered if I got one or not considering they're free, but I applied as soon as the offer was listed. They're either stuck in the mail or just out of stock, plus I wouldn't put some losses down to postal theft. This wouldn't be the first and I'm sure it's not going to be the last freebie that never shows, no skin off my nose either way. I wouldn't value them at £10 to £20 though, they're most probably manufactured in China for under a pound or two, they'd cost the company a few pounds more wholesale plus postal costs to give away, but you have to remember they're also getting paid to do this either by government or EC incentives.

I applied via another source at the same time it was posted on here.

As I am (REALLY) in one of the qualifying catergories(disabled) it's a bit sad that they havn't sent one out to me. Well, it's not going to change my life if I get one or not:rotfl:but it's a pity.

Got mine of Friday but I can't really see that it is of much use! I turn my TV (right) off anyway and it is no good with a PVR as that may need to be left in standby mode to record or update overnight.

As some have already pointed out, it may be of use to remote-control other appliances, but as an energy saver, I am not really convinced. :(
  • Got my plug! Soo cool. Now I can through away my TV stick lol

Got mine a little while ago.

Don't really understand why it is being marketed as a energy (and money) saving device as all it does is enable people to switch-off devices using a remote control rather than walking a few paces to do it manually; via either taking your power-point plug from the wall socket or just pressing the power switch button to an off state.

I appreciate that this helps people with any disbaility that prevents them unplugging or pressing the power switch. However, I do not understand why anyone else needs or benefits from this. As a consequence, using the other (i.e. Unless people are disabled) criteria on the company's website, I do not undertsand why people are being given this equipment free of charge.

I have got mine and I will use it but I wouldn't pay £20 to buy it new. I really do not understand it's neccessity unless you are disabled (either physically or mentally).

If I am missing something, please clarify for my benefit.
