That's really interesting - didn't know that about SR. I've heard all flour can have a tiny bit of yeast in naturally though - would it be worth checking out some of the specialist flours - Dove for example? My other thought is you can add baking powder to plain flour - but as it is, I think, baking powder that's added to make SR flour you might have the same problem. Presumably your list will help on this one. Good luck

Oooh, just had a thought - how about gnocchi type dumplings - they're mashed potato, egg and plain flour (I think - never actually made them personally) might be worth a google0 -

That's interesting ubamother, thanks. I am always on the lookout for bread recipes that she can eat.
The list is very long and includes so many things she loves like cheese, dried apricots or dried fruit of any kind, tea except that redbush kind, no skin on fruit etc etc.

Basically though she has to avoid anything that fungus type spores are likely to be on, which is why all the things mentioned are bad for her. No mushrooms (just about the only thing she doesn`t miss) but no bananas either. We freeze fresh herbs rather than use dried, and everything she does eat has to be as fresh as possible with no peel or skin.
She has to keep to this regime for six weeks at a time, with a short break in between. It may be diferent for you of course, but maybe this will help in the meantime.0
