Barclays Bank are sooooooo annoying!!!!!!

I want to have a rant about Barclays Bank! I am so angry with them! :mad:

Basically, last year in November I realised I should sort out my debts. I have a £3,000 student overdraft with Barclays and decided it was time I paid it off. I decided to open a very basic account with the cooperative bank so I didn't have to use my Barclays account so I could just pay it off. I made the mistake of using a debt management programme with All Clear finance (this was wrong as I paid them to approch my debtors with offers of payment - soon got rid of them!) and they approached Barclays with an offer to pay them back. Barclays NEVER once demanded that I pay them back - I had decided I wanted to pay them back.

Anyway, they rejected the offers made (not sure why I didn't have to pay them anything - I hadn't for years!) and then suddenly closed my account (after being with them for 6 years as a loyal customer) and defaulted it. This alone I am so angry with - especially since most of my overdraft was due to many charges they put on me (I am going to get these paid back but thats a whole other thread!).

Now I have agreed to pay them £25 back a month which I have paid on time for about 8 months. Then the phone calls started a couple of weeks ago. They called for me every day - I was at work but partner who works from home answered them. He eventually managed to convince them that I work all day during the week and to send me a letter if they really needed to talk to me. I got the letter yesterday and they now want me to pay more money than we agreed! It just makes me feel so angry when I was trying to do the right thing to get my debts sorted out in the first place. Ypu finally think you are on your way to getting things sorted and then they make it worse and pile the stress on again.

Thanks for listening, sometimes you just need to get it off your chest! I really hate banks! Is it me or have they got worse!!!!!
