Both my car and DH are 10 years old, and both have done over 100,000 miles.

Hello, just thought I'd pop in :hello:

Had an email just after lunchtime asking about a report I had COMPLETELY forgot to do. So had to frantically do that and then nonchalantly send it through as if it had been just waiting on my computer to send! :p Oooops!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
Well as DH car hasn't turned a wheel since he stopped commuting to work, we decided to switch the insurance to our little "fun" car that hasn't been out of the garage in 4-5 years! Nothing wrong with old cars,we have a '72,a '73 and an '80 in our stable;)..along with an '83,'95 and '02.....really ought to sell before we get any more...

In other news,Calor just got back to me after I told then we were leaving for another supplier-they upped the cost to 46.5 p per litre.I shopped around and was offered 39ppl so I told them we were off.....they just called to offer me 39.5ppl,plus £50 bonus to stay!! Result-proper MSE!!
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

Too bloomin' right BB. Seems to me that you are a very useful Member of the Teaching Team, but you seem to get little appreciation!
I have to confess not taking many courses is going to ruffle a few feathers :o

Is there any way you could still teach Cookery Courses but make the money for yourself?....doing it privately?

certainly could - nothing to stop me at all. I've got the hygiene qualifications (I can teach that as well ) and the teaching qualifications - not that they are needed for any private work. All I would need is somewhere to do it. There is a hotel in Bournemouth which calls itself a Chocolate Boutique hotel and they hold courses in making chocolates, away days etc and it's really expensive. I would love to go there, it looks amazing - all that chocolate ;):D

There's a yoga tutor currently doing private teaching - £35 for half an hour in your own home

And think - none of the paperwork I currently do other than handouts!! Am sure there would be lots of other regulatory stuff instead (ie liability insurance) but I wouldn't have to be accountable or have the reams of documents prepared I currently have to have.

Off to teach in about half an hour. Pfft.
