Afternoon all.
I just got back from the dentist. turns out my appointment was fo tomorrow, so that was a wasted 1 hour trip in the rush hour traffic. Can't be bothered dong it all again so I have moved my appointment to 14th July now (I will put it in my diary this time :rotfl:).
Council are resurfacing the road on Thursday and Friday so we will have to park the car and van somewhere else. Not great timing as the school at the end of the road is have a major extension built, so there are vans and staff cars clogging up the streets as it is.
I have just decluttered tea and am trying to motivate myself to do some planting.
I feel whacked. I am sure the poratacabin classroom I work in has sick building syndrome :rotfl: as I always come out feeling drained and my eyes stream.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
My thoughts and wishes are with you Lady-L.

Soappie, I wish you ladies wouldn't keep tempting me, I want chickens! I need a green-faced envious smiley.Soappie - lovely to hear about your chickens....I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on!oooo - just got my chickens!!! :j:j:j 3 lovely little girls, Henrietta, Sprinkles, & Rosie. Very exciting!!!! The dogs can't work them out at all
Have only skim read.
Onestep - how old are yours?
Operation Chick has taken up most of the spare time in the Soappie household. Research, research, research. I have discovered I WON'T need a coop for at least 5 weeks so that's this weekend's panic off.
The front room will become Chick Nursery until they are old enough to go outside.
I now find myself constantly watching the web cam to see when the first of the little critters will hatch! They are scheduled, apparently, to hatch tomorrow. I will pick up the girly variety a week on Friday.
Flying? Decluttered a lovely mother/son half hour with DS in the garden this evening when we talked about chickens and lots of other stuff.
DW about to be emptied and filled again. Then I need to think about dinner..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Onestep - how old are yours?
soappie - they are about 14 weeks, so should start laying in the next month or so. I saw them when they were day olds (a friend of mine breeds them) & I've been popping in to see them pretty much weekly since then. I've just checked on them, and they are refusing to come out of the coop into the run - I think traumatised by the journey! Hopefully tomorrow they'll be feeling braver. We're planning on letting them have the run of the garden once they've settled in.
On the flying front - nada. zilch. zip :eek: definite case of the CBA, & would rather watch the chickens!!
Lady L - everyone has already said all the things I would have - but just to add my spoons (btw - can someone explain that??!), and sunshine vibes for Glasto to the list.
