Wireless Keyboard & Mouse £19.99 Netto

OK, My last post about Netto may have been a bad item (Lexmark all in one), but I like the look of this one,

http://www.netto.co.uk/internet/nettog/catalogue/catalogue.nsf/cd662d3aed59e6e241256be50037d291/dcc2c4dcfcdd5d85c12571ce003c010c/Body/0.7C?OpenElement&FieldElemFormat=jpg

The keyboard is ultra slim, and with illuminated keys, nightime work will be easier.

Also, the mouse has 5 buttons, and seeing as my 5 button is working on 4 , I really need a new one!

Only there from Thursday next week, 8.30am opening at my store.

I wanted a mouse with charger for a while but my mate got the microsoft one with the AA batteries in it and they last for absolutely ages, months! So I decided that rather than have a clunky charger and have to remember to charge it I'd rather a couple of batts in my drawer in case it runs out (which it hasn't in 2 months so far). Just my opinion

And there is a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse set which I'm sure was less than £20 on cheapandfree.co.uk which I think I'd go for over illuminated keys.

  • Got one the quality is fine, great value
  • I got one of these from argos (clearance so check local stock) the other day, its only a 3 button mouse but it is optical.

Seems a bargain if the original price was £69.99:j

Yeah, the 3 button mouse bit on the alternatives above puts us off, we have used a 5 button for some years now, you do get used to it.

For £19.99 it looks good and considering my mouse is a bit broke, it's got to be better than what I have.

Right, have the kit here now, and had a couple of teething problems.

The mouse and keyboard together both being USB took the last of my slots, and I think between them, the printer and the modem, there's not enough power to go round, so I've had to fit the mouse to a PS/2 adaptor.

The keyboard is OK, but a bit plasticky, and the keys make the noise of a small horse clip-clopping along, certainly not quiet.

The backlit idea is perfect for where we have it and means you can type in the dark, whoooh!!

Oh and the forward button is set to 'forward, but won't do it, I had to set the back button to 'backspace' to get it to go backwards in either Firefox or IE.

You gets what you pays for I suppose.
