Anyone else having problems with Valued Opinions?

I've been doing Valued Opinions surveys for over a year, no problems. The last 6 or so that they have sent me just won't work. I can't enter my age in the age box on the first screen so I can't progress any further.
Each time I've had a problem I've emailed to tell them and I just get the standard reply saying some surveys only work with internet explorer. The reply is the same each time, word for word, so I don't think a real person even looks at it. I don't have internet explorer and never have had, so something has changed at their end rather than mine.
Just wondered if anyone else is having problems, too?

It may be a fault with the software the company uses, or it may be a problem with your browser.
Have you tried doing the surveys with a different browser?
I remember last year the IT mangler thought it would be a great idea to set everyone's browser to not download images. I couldn't do surveys because the submit/next buttons didn't show up and the survey software didn't supply alt text for the button images.0 -
Yes, I have tried to copy & paste the link into a different browser but then I get an error message saying...
'The unique number that tracks your progress through this survey is missing. To resume, please click the original link in the email we sent you.'
And when I do that it automatically opens into firefox and won't work.0 -
About a couple of weeks ago I found that VO surveys no longer loaded on my PC. The page just hung, going nowhere. I tried my son's and OH's PC but the problem persisted. I could respond to surveys from other companies but not VO.
As one of the surveys was a conclusion to a diary that I had been completing for months, I was concerned that I wouldn't receive the payout, also wondered whether my account had been blocked for some reason. Had also tried loading the surveys using Firefox and Chrome.
I contacted them on 0845 257 3299 - hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.30am and 5.30pm, and spoke to a really helpful assistant. He reassured me and said the account was fine and he would speak to 'the team'.
An email was sent containing another link which was easily accessible, and I completed the survey. Since then I've had no problems accessing their surveys.
Try phoning, they were really helpful and might suggest something you can try.

In that case, can you try this?
Open Internet Explorer and make it the default browser. If you don't know how to do this the instructions are below, if you do then just ignore them.
I think it may be different in different versions of Internet Explorer, but in my version you do it like this.
Click the Tools menu then click Internet Options. When the options box comes up click on the Programmes tab. In the Programmes tab there is a section entitled "Default Web Browser" with a button called "Make Default". Click this button then hit the OK button.
Now close Internet Explorer, Firefox and your email program if you have them open.
Open your email program and try clicking the link, it should open it in Internet Explorer.
To make Firefox your default browser open it up and click the tools menu then choose Options. When the options box pops up click the Advanced icon then the General tab if it is not already selected. In the general tab, at the bottom, there is a section entitled "Systen Defaults" with a button called "Check Now". Click this button and a box should pop up asking you if you want to make Firefox your default browser, click yes and it's done.0 -
I can confirm that Google Chrome has problems with some surveys. ( I tend to use Chrome as my main browser).
However, IE works fine, as long as you don't stop pop-ups. I find Brainjuicer surveys (Valued opinions members will know what I am talking about) in particular hangs in Chrome.0
