Can someone please explain to me why the CSA are basically useless? They seem to not only have very limited (if any) powers but the majority seem to be completly devoid of common sense. Im owed over £1000 of backdated CS,due to the fact that it rarely gets paid and if it does, its short (less than a third usually) and late. I ring the CSA to complain and either the systems down or the computers are slow or its one excuse after another. They know my ex-partner is deliberatly witholding my sons CS,with the help of his employers-wage slips from them and ones from the accountants who actually pay him have just under a £200 discrepency per week. They know whats going on,do nothing about it despite my requests and the money im owed just keeps adding up. All i get are revised payment schedules, with increasing totals! Ive seen solicitors and all they say is "let the CSA handle it",but theyre not. Any ideas?

The CSA are not fit for purpose. Simple. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
