Good offset mortgages?

Hi all .... just wondering if anyone can recommend an offset rate to beat First Direct? I'm rather liking their 3.79% with £99 fee...

I'm looking for a fixed rate (rates are only going one way to my mind!) and can keep the LTV below 65%....

Thank you for your help :)
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

How big is your mortgage, and how much will you have offsetting, are you buying or remortgaging?

Woolwich @ 3.09% may be better if a reasonable size mortgage.

FD fixed offset have high follow on rates,

I think the low cost trackers are a better option if actualy going to use the offset.

Barclays also have the offset ISA option which can make them more atractive if you have savings in ISAs.

The more you are going to use the offset facility the less the follow on rate is less important, if you are not going to use it, get a cheaper deal elsewhere.

Have a look at YBS as they have some good long term fixes but the fee is £995 so you need to use the offset facility well to make it work!
