This is at the High Street branch but not at the New Street branch.
They have a large clearance section for damaged books, some quite mangled but some with just a creased cover or ripped book jacket.
They normally knock a couple of pounds off the books but today (and according to a member of staff for the next 10 days) all these books are being sold for £1. :j
There are amazing bargains in this sale like hardback copies of "Breaking Dawn" (Twilight saga) with just a slight tear to the book jacket.
There are loads of fiction books, biographies, kids books, history books and loads more.
I hope this is useful to some of you.

Its next to the Bull Ring in the city centre so you'd need to get a bus in from there.

I think bus no 37 or 6 will take you there and they run very regularly.Titch0 -
Any bus from Stratford Road will take you there, except the 36. There's literally a bus a minute so it shouldn't take you long to catch one. The journey takes about ten minutes. Just get off at Corporation Street and its a short walk away.0

This seems to be the policy for all Waterstones at the moment as the Crewe store had a lot of books for £1, including a box set of 5 Mr Men Christmas books which look liked they'd make a great christmas pressie for a little one
xxxJust started cashback-ing - makes me feel less guilty when I impulse buy!0
