  • I bought this for the first time a couple of weeks ago and hated it. Didn't dissolve properly even on a hot wash. Thanks anyway though.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

This looks similar - maybe a different size - of an item that MSEers have been getting free from Tesco for weeks......I haven't seen it in my store but it's mentioned as being a national error on the Tesco Misprices thread.

If you're going to Tesco to find this product, it would be worth checking if the Shelf Edge label says 'Ecover £3.xx (can't recall the pence). Then try to find an older-style box with a 'try me free' offer on it (it has to be this type of box).

Buy it and apparently it scans at over £4, but say nothing at the till, pay and leave...then come back in, studying your receipt and go to CS to point out you have been overcharged. If they don't offer you a full refund (i.e. letting you have the item for free) point out their refund policy (on the blue poster behind them in big stores, or on tills, or on the door in small stores). :D

From memory, I think MSE posters said these old boxes also have a nice 75p coupon in them that actually scans for 80p, and you can use it against your next shop (without buying the product of course, coupons are cash!).

HTH, don't shoot the messenger if I've not recalled this correctly! :o
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Brutus B, I did convert to Ecover, and would have taken up your advice to get it from Tescos, but have to agree with High-L. That it was for me, truly dreadful stuff. Whites were beginning to be greys when we finally abandoned it.
